Reading Pride Celebration

The 18th Annual Pride Picnic at Knoebels Grove will be held this August 11th, 2012 at Knoebels Grove Amusement Park, Pavilion T-10. There will be great food and a fun day for all young and old as we gather for this annual event.

On average 300 attend this yearly outing. “Our Family Reunion” will be this years theme. There will be door prizes plus raffle prizes, The meal will be pot-luck, so get your recipes and food ideas ready. If you come bring food to share. We have electrical capability and welcome crock pots with hot food. “The Gay Ride of the Day” will be the new “Black Diamond” dark ride followed by everyone’s favorite “The Pioneer Train”. We look forward to seeing our old friends and making new friends from Pennsylvania as well as from the northeast. So get the word out and let the news be heard. Bring all your friends and family to this years Pride Picnic at Knoebels Grove.

Pavilion T10 (has electric for crock pots)
Covered dish dinner and raffle at 3 pm.
Registration begins at 11 am.
Join us for the meal or for the day.
Bring a covered dish to share. Utensils and Tableware will be provided.

The Matthew Shepard Story

On July 11, 2012 at 7:00 PM The Matthew Shepard Story, starring Stockard Channing, Sam Waterston, and Shane Meier as Matthew Shepard will be shown at Calvary United Church of Christ, 640 Centre Ave, Reading, PA, 19601.

Popcorn and refreshments will be served.

Admission is free.
